108 Astro ("we", "us", "our") operates the website 108astro.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

We run an online-only service. We do not operate a physical consultation centre, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

1. Information you give us

  • Newsletter — your email address, when you subscribe through the form in our footer.

  • Contact — your name, email address and message, when you write to us or use our contact form.

  • Member account — if you create an account on our site, the details you provide during signup, which may include your name, email address and profile information.

  • Comments — anything you post on our blog posts.

You are never required to give us your birth details to use the free charts and calculators on this site. Those tools run in your browser from the values you select. We do not store your birth data unless you send it to us yourself, for example in an email.

2. Information collected automatically

When you visit, our website platform records standard technical information: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site you arrived from. This is used to understand how the site is performing and which content is useful.

3. How we use your information

We use it to:

  • send you the newsletter you asked for, and let you unsubscribe from it

  • reply to your enquiries

  • operate and secure your member account, if you have one

  • understand which articles, videos and tools people find useful, so we can make more of them

  • keep the site working, secure and free of abuse

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Our lawful basis

We process your information on the basis of your consent — which you give when you subscribe, write to us, or create an account — and on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 8).

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Our site uses cookies to function and to measure traffic:

  • Essential cookies set by our website platform, Wix, which are required for the site to work, for security, and to keep you logged in if you have an account.

  • Analytics cookies which tell us how the site is being used, in aggregate.

  • Third-party cookies set when content from other services is loaded on a page — most commonly YouTube, when a video is embedded. These are governed by Google's own privacy policy, not ours.

  • Chat — if you use the chat widget on our site, the conversation and your contact details are stored so we can reply.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site may stop working.

6. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that make the site work:

  • Wix.com Ltd. — our website platform. Wix hosts the site and processes data on our behalf, including form submissions, member accounts and analytics.

  • Google / YouTube — when you play an embedded video or visit our channel.

  • Our email delivery provider — to send the newsletter.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

7. Where your information is stored

Our website platform stores and processes data on servers that may be located outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. By using this site you understand that your information may be transferred and stored in those locations under the protections our providers maintain.

8. Your rights

You may:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you

  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete

  • ask us to delete your information

  • withdraw your consent at any time

  • unsubscribe from the newsletter, using the link in any email we send

If you are in India, you have these rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you are in the EU or UK, you have equivalent rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. How long we keep it

  • Newsletter subscribers — until you unsubscribe.

  • Enquiries — up to three years after our last exchange.

  • Member accounts — until you ask us to delete the account.

  • Analytics — in aggregate, indefinitely; it does not identify you individually.

10. Children

This site is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We rely on the security measures of our website platform, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the whole site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top will always tell you when it last changed. Material changes will be announced on the site.
